Portugal, it comes with great force the designer and artist Valentim Quaresma.
His jewelry creations are cataloged between design and artwork.
He studied in at the art school of António
Arroio and he worked for 20 years with Ana Salazar, a pioneer of Portuguese
fashion. In 2008 he received the "Accessories Collection of the Year"
prize in the international competition ITS # 7 in Italy. From that moment, he
began his solo career, presenting their collections at international events
such as Bread & Butter Barcelona, 080 Barcelona Fashion [moment] in Riga
and Bijorhca in Paris, among many others.
His body wrap jewelry models, squeezing them
in an almost sculptural all the emotions of the designer. Plays with metal and
human forms, thereby generating, spectacular sets ranging from the medieval
style, the cyborg, to fetishism.
In his latest collection, Spring / Summer
2015 presented at Moda Lisboa Fashion show. We can find structures surrounding
torsos models, trying to adapt some means as if it were an animal. It draws on
this mainly on the camouflage and adaptation to the environment of the species.
A real artist that Portugal must feel very
proud.
Desde Portugal, llega con mucha fuerza el
diseñador y artista Valentim Quaresma. Sus creaciones de joyería están
catalogadas entre diseño y obra de arte.
Estudió en la escuela de arte de António
Arroio y posteriormente, estuvo trabajando durante 20 años con Ana Salazar, una
de las pioneras de la moda portuguesa. En el año 2008 recibió el premio
“Colección de accesorios del año” en el concurso internacional ITS#7 en Italia.
A partir de ese momento, empezó su carrera en solitario, presentando sus
colecciones en eventos internacionales como, Bread & Butter de Barcelona,
080 Barcelona Fashion, [moment] en Riga y Bijorhca en París, entre muchos
otros.
Sus joyas envuelven el cuerpo de los
modelos, exprimiendo en ellas de forma casi escultural todas las emociones del diseñador. Juega con el metal y
las formas humanas, generando con ello, conjuntos espectaculares que van desde
el estilo medieval, al cyborg, pasando por el fetichismo.
En su
última colección, Primavera/Verano 2015 presentada en Moda Lisboa. Podemos
encontrar estructuras que rodean los torsos de los modelos, intentando en
cierta adaptarlos al medio como si de un animal se tratase. Se inspira en esto
principalmente, en la mimetización y adaptación al medio de las especies.
Todo un artista del que Portugal tiene que
sentirse muy orgulloso.
