Toulouse

The city of Toulouse is the capital of the department of Midi-Pyrenees in southern France, its history goes back to ancient times, even went the capital of the county of Toulouse in the Middle Ages.

Its streets are a compendium of different artistic and historical periods that shaped the city, finding in them, medieval, Gothic art and the golden age of the Renaissance, without neglecting their cultural roots and popular tradition currents. All this makes the city has a huge cultural and artistic wealth, who still lives in the streets.

1. The Musée des Augustins

Installed in the magnificent setting of the Augustinian convent, built in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, the Fine Arts Museum preserves a valuable collection of medieval sculptures (capitals Romanesque and Gothic statues). In the collections of painting there are masterpieces of the XV to XIX.

2. The Plaza de San Jorge

This square was the largest in the city. In her popular assemblies and markets were held; and later executions. It is flanked by beautiful houses of varying architecture. On one side, we see the mansion lafage with its monumental facade characteristic eighteenth century. Today is a busy place for its lively terraces.

3. The church of St. Jerome

4. Salengro Square

5. Rue Saint-Rome

The Rue Saint-Rome coincides with the North-South axis of the Roman city. It was not until the nineteenth century the main street of the city in the heart of the commercial district. Here we can admire beautiful brick mansions such as Serta palace whose tower dominates the intersection. Some half-timbered houses recall the predominant architecture to the great fire of 1463. Today, this pedestrian street commercial activity continues with its numerous shops.

6. The Museum of old Toulouse

The Old Toulouse museum is housed in a Renaissance palace in order. His collection consists of documents, paintings and objects of popular tradition and evokes the art and history of the city.

7. The Museum of Compagnonnage

This house with half-timbered facade of the XVI century was restored by the trade association Les Compagnons du Tour de France. A museum that allows you to discover the universe of associations through masterpieces and objects of yesterday and today.

8. The Doccitània ostal

Hugues de Boysson and Jean de Cheverry, merchants and capitouls (city representatives), ordered the construction of this gothic mansion, middle Renaissance. Today is the seat of Ostal d'Occitània, rather than the current exchanges of Occitan culture.

9. The palace and the Bemberg foundation Assézat

A mansion, a masterpiece of Renaissance of Toulouse, was built between 1555 and 1557 to the merchant Pierre d'Assézat, which prospered from the woad trade. It extends around a large courtyard facades, galleries and balconies. Today is the seat of the Bemberg Foundation (rich collector of furniture, paintings and other objects) and scientific societies among which is that of the floral games.

10. The basilica of Saint Sernin in Toulouse

Also known as the Basilica of San Saturnino de Tolosa. It is one of the most emblematic buildings of Toulouse, the largest Romanesque church of Occitania and the second oldest in all of France, after the Abbey of Cluny.

La ciudad de Toulouse en el departamento de Mediodía-Pirineos, en el sur de Francia, se remonta a tiempos antiguos. Fue la capital del condado de Tolosa en la Edad Media y actualmente es la capital del departamento francés de Midi-Pirineos.

La ciudad de Toulouse se encuentra en el sur de Francia, más en concreto, en el departamento de los Mediodía-Pirineos , del que actualmente es capital.

En sus calles podemos encontrar diversas corrientes artísticas y periodos históricos que marcaron la ciudad: la época medieval, el arte gótico, la edad de oro del Renacimiento, si dejar de lado sus raíces culturales y tradiciones populares. Todo esto hace que la ciudad tenga una riqueza cultural y artística muy grande.

Desde El Diario de Juno os hacemos una recomendación de varios lugares de la ciudad, que son imprescindibles visitar.

1. El museo de los Agustinos

Instalado en el incomparable marco del convento de los Agustinos, construido en los siglos XIV y XV, el museo de Bellas Artes conserva un valioso conjunto de esculturas medievales (capiteles románicos y estatuas góticas). En las colecciones de pintura hay obras maestras de los siglos XV al XIX.

2 2. La plaza de San Jorge

Esta plaza fue la más amplia de la ciudad. En ella se celebraban las asambleas populares y los mercados; y más tarde las ejecuciones capitales. Está flanqueada por bellas casas de arquitectura variopinta. En uno de sus lados, vemos el palacete Lafage con su característica fachada monumental del siglo XVIII. Hoy es un lugar muy concurrido por sus animadas terrazas.

. 3. La iglesia de San Jerónimo

Detrás de una fachada discreta, esta iglesia de los siglos XVII y XVIII, llena de curvas, es notoria por su aspecto teatral. Es la antigua capilla de los Penitentes Azules, cofradía laica que nació como una reacción al protestantismo.

4. La plaza de Salengro

Esta placita triangular data del siglo XIX; la fuente que le sirve de decorado lleva elementos alegóricos de hierro fundido. Entre las hermosas fachadas de ladrillo observe en el número 20 una placa que recuerda que fue la casa en la que Jean Jaurès vivió algún tiempo.

5 5. La calle Saint-Rome

La calle Saint-Rome coincide con el eje norte-sur de la ciudad romana (cardo). Fue hasta el siglo XIX la calle principal de la ciudad en el corazón del barrio comercial. Podemos admirar bellas mansiones de ladrillo como el palacete Serta cuya torre domina el cruce de calles. Algunas casas de entramado de madera recuerdan la arquitectura preponderante hasta el gran incendio de 1463. Hoy, esta calle peatonal continúa la actividad comercial gracias a sus numerosas tiendas.

6 6. El museo del viejo Toulouse

El museo del Viejo Toulouse está ubicado en un palacete del fin del Renacimiento. Su colección se compone de documentos, pinturas y objetos de tradición popular y evoca el pasado artístico e histórico de la ciudad.

7 7. El museo del Compagnonnage

Esta casa con fachada de entramado de madera del siglo XVI fue restaurada por la asociación gremial Les compagnons du tour de France. Alberga un museo que permite descubrir el universo de los gremios a través de obras maestras y objetos de ayer y de hoy.

8 8. El ostal Doccitània

Hugues de Boysson y Jean de Cheverry, mercaderes y capitouls (representantes de la ciudad), mandaron construir esta mansión medio gótica, medio renacentista. Hoy es la sede del Ostal d’Occitània, lugar de intercambios de la actual cultura occitana.

9 9. El palacete de Assezát y la fundación Bemberg

Este palacete, obra maestra del Renacimiento tolosano, fue edificado entre 1555 y 1557 para el mercader Pierre d’Assézat, que prosperó con el comercio del glasto (hierba pastel). Se extiende alrededor de un gran patio con fachadas, galería y balcones. Hoy es la sede de la fundación Bemberg (rico coleccionista de mobiliario, pinturas y otros objetos) y de sociedades científicas entre las que se encuentra la de los juegos florales.

1 10. La basílica de Saint Sernin de Toulouse

También conocida como basílica de San Saturnino de Tolosa. Es uno de los edificios más emblemáticos de Toulouse, la iglesia románica más grande de Occitania y la segunda más antigua de toda Francia, después de la abadía de Cluny.

Jean Paul Gaultier - Haute Couture Autumn Winter 2015 - 16

Today it turns to reinvent the fishing line and passes to be present at any beach or "cruise"
collection to be indispensable for this A/W 2015 -2016.

Last season, we could spied that turn again, but we could think that it would be so fast and so
hard. There are many designers who have joined this trend and presented novel
interpretations of the typical fishing line in their collections.

Thus we can find, from the classic white and blue stripe on the use of different colors and
fabrics like Mary Escoté proposal for this winter. A red and black stripe that gave the most
rebellious touch to Paris fashion week.

In haute couture, someone linked to the fishing line in their collections is Jean Paul Gaultier,
who has also joined this renewal and presented its proposal for fishing line in a set with bold
horizontal stripe at the top, combined with circular stripes on the skirt.

Se vuelve a reinventar la raya marinera y pasa de estar presente en cualquier conjunto playero
o colecciones tipo "crucero", a ser un indispensable para este Otoño / Invierno 2015 -2016.

En la temporada pasada, ya se pudo intuir que volvía, pero no podíamos pensar que iba a ser
tan rápido y con tanta fuerza. Son muchos los diseñadores que se han sumado a esta
tendencia y han presentado novedosas interpretaciones de la típica raya marinera en sus
colecciones.

Así podemos encontrar, desde la raya clásica blanca y azul a la utilización de diversos colores y
tejidos, como la propuesta de María Escoté para este invierno. Una raya roja y negra que dio el
toque más rebelde a la fashion week parisina.

En la Alta Costura, si alguien ligado a la raya marinera en sus colecciones es Jean Paul Gaultier,
que también se ha sumado a esta renovación y presentó su propuesta de raya marinera, en un
conjunto atrevido con raya horizontal en la parte superior, combinada con rayas circulares en
la falda.

Por último, destacar el juego de rayas que ha generado Sonia Rykiel en su última colección. Rayas horizontales, rayas que se entrecruzan en un juego de colores o la clásica en plata y
negro.

Un gran abanico de propuestas para aventurarnos este Otoño / Invierno con este clásico
renovado.

From the D.O. Rioja and trough the hands of Bodegas Contador, comes the wine, "Predicador" a red wine created with the blend of Tempranillo and Grenache varieties that leaves no one indifferent.

Benjamín Romeo has been known perfectly in his particular tribute to Clint Eastwood, the character's traits wich Eastwood played in the movie Pale Rider, "Predicador".

With a friendly expression and juicy of tempranillo and with the body and strong of the Grenache.

Predicador displays a nice, bright cherry color, with notes of licorice, dark fruits (plums, blackberries and blueberries) and pungent spices, like clove.

The medium-bodied palate reveals good work with the wood, which is very well integrated and an acid spine that makes the wine long and fresh.

This delivers a great quality at a great price.

Desde la D.O. Rioja y a través de las manos de la Bodega Contador, nos llega "Predicador" un tinto elaborado con las variedades tempranillo y garnacha que no deja indiferente a nadie.

Benjamín Romeo ha sabido transmitir a la perfección en su homenaje particular a Clint Eastwood, las características del personaje que interpretó en la película el Jinete Pálido, "el Predicador".

Con una expresión muy amable y jugosa de la tempranillo, pero con el carácter y cuerpo de la garnacha.

De color cereza brillante con notas de regaliz, frutas negras (ciruelas, moras y arándanos) y especias picantes, como el clavo. El paladar de medio cuerpo revela un buen trabajo con la madera, la cual está muy bien integrada y hacen de la acidez su columna vertebral, resultando un vino largo y fresco.

Un vino que nos ofrece gran calidad a un gran precio.

Born in 1967 in Paris to a German mother and French father, Isabel Marant starts sewing at the age of 15 reworking old army jackets and remnants into a more bohemian wardrobe.
She takes up design studies at Studio Berçot fashion school in 1985 and creates four years later a small collection of outsize jewelry bearing her own name. She launches a line of jersey and knitwear in 1990, named “Twen”.

Isabel establishes her own brand in 1994, setting up a studio in the Marais neighborhood in Paris. Her first show is held a year later in the debris-strewn courtyard of a squat, with her friends modeling.
She opens her first store in 1998, in a former artist’s studio in the Bastille district.

Eager to make her brand evolve, she launches the more casual and affordable “Isabel Marant Étoile” line in 1999.
Isabel opens her first stateside boutique in 2010 in New York Soho and expands her network of boutiques abroad since. She sets up her new head office at Place des Victoires in the heart of Paris in 2012.

Isabel Marant

Nacida en 1967 en París de madre alemana y padre francés, Isabel Marant, comienza a coser a la edad de 15 años rehaciendo viejas chaquetas y restos militares para convertirlos en un fondo de armario bohemio.
Cursó estudios de diseño en la escuela de moda "Studio Berçot" en 1985 y creó cuatro años más tarde una pequeña colección de joyería de piezas grandes que llevaba su nombre. En 1990 lanza una línea de jersey y prendas de punto llamada "Twen".

Isabel crea su marca propia en 1994, estableciendo un estudio en el barrio de Marais en París. Su primer desfile se lleva a cabo un año más tarde en un patio cubierto de escombros con sus amigas modelos.
Abre su primera tienda en 1998 en el estudio de un ex artista en el distrito de la Bastilla.

Dispuesta a hacer que su marca evolucione, lanza en 1999 la línea "Isabel Marant Étoile" más casual y asequible.
Isabel abre su primera boutique en los Estados Unidos en 2010 en la zona del Soho en Nueva York y desde entonces expande su cadena de boutiques en el extranjero. En 2012 establece sus nuevas oficinas principales en la Plaza de la Victoria en el corazón de París.
