Halifax

Como una ciudad abierta al mar, su principal gastronomía se basa en sus capturas, su más preciado botín es la langosta, degustarla en sus restaurantes es algo habitual, aunque si queremos mencionar una referencia diremos que la mayor exquisitez se encuentra en McKelvie's, también destacan las ostras un mangar maravilloso sobretodo las que se sirven en The Press Gang Restaurant & Oyster Bar.

Para terminar si algo hay que merece la pena descubrir es su gente, extrovertida y multicultural. Disfrutar de buena música en directo acompañado de una buena cerveza de Alexander Keith's Brewery en el Lower Deck o en el Split Crow pub son dos buenas opciones para ello.

Due Caffé

Early morning walking to the number 32 of Traperia Street, one of the most busy streets in Murcia, we are going to visit our friend Silvia, a Swiss who lives in this City that from her little place, the "Due Caffé" offer us a varied repertoire of the best coffees of italian root that you could taste in your life. From the espresso or latte to cappuccino, passing through some author coffees as the "tasty", "My Love" or "ugly beautiful", where she plays with combinations of flavors from differents ingredients like black chocolate, cardamom, orange or Grand Marnier, playing a symphony of flavors.

Their coffee is not at all acid, a raw material of high-end 100% Arabica from the professional Italian brand Lavazza, those that grind grain we get that natural perfume that fills our senses.

The presentation is impeccable, the expert hands of Silvia decorated with a cloud coffee cream, hearts and leaves are their most common drawings. But it is not only coffee we can enjoy the "Due Caffe" for breakfast, toast of all kinds, more than ten, highlighting the house toast with tomato and Parmesan cheese, both well scuffed and a jet of liquid gold (extra virgin olive oil), or the Genovese toast with pesto basic and grated parmesan with oil and if we want to add something more consistent, a good slice of Prociutto, Coppa and Pancetta, Italian sausage-like ham and bacon, from Italy by Ferrarini brand. Besides these, we can find fresh pastries of the day, croissants, cinnamon rolls and if we're lucky some muffins made by Silvia own that deserve our attention.

All to take if we want to enjoy it in our office or simply at home and finally add that man's best friend also have there place, because in the "Caffé Due" is part of the select guide establishments where behaved dogs who want to share the first hug of the day allowed.

Es la hora del primer café del día, hoy si cabe más especial, es de esos días en los que un café es un gran abrazo en una taza.
Caminando por Murcia de buena mañana, a la altura del número 32 de la Trapería, una de las calles más concurridas, visitamos a nuestra amiga Silvia, una suiza afincada en esta tierra que desde su pequeño rincón, el "Due Caffé" nos ofrece un repertorio de los mejores cafés de raíz italiana que se pueden probar en la vida. Desde el expreso o el café con leche al capuchino, pasando por cafés de autor como son el "gustoso", "mi amor" o el "feo hermoso", donde juega con las combinaciones de sabores, chocolate negro, cardamomo, naranja o Grand Marnier, interpretando una sinfonía de sabores.

Su café no es para nada ácido, materia prima de alta gama 100% arábico de la marca profesional italiana Lavazza, de esos que al moler el grano nos llega ese perfume natural que inunda nuestros sentidos.

La presentación es impecable, las manos expertas de Silvia adornan el café con una nube de crema, corazones y hojas son sus dibujos más habituales. Pero no solo es café lo que podemos disfrutar, ir al "Due Caffé" es ir desayunar, tostadas de todo tipo, más de diez, destacando la de casa con tomate y queso parmesano, ambos bien rayados y un chorro de oro líquido (aceite de oliva virgen extra),o la tostada genovesa con pesto como base con parmesano rayado, aceite y si queremos dar un toque más consistente una buena loncha de Prociutto, Coppa o Pancetta, embutidos italianos semejantes al jamón serrano y a la panceta, como no podía ser de otro modo traídos desde Italia por la marca Ferrarini. Además de estas, podemos encontrar bollería fresca del día, croissants, ensaimadas y si tenemos suerte algunos muffins hechos por la propia Silvia que merecen toda nuestra atención.

Todo para llevar, si queremos disfrutar de ello en nuestra oficina o simplemente en casa y por ultimo añadir que el mejor amigo del hombre también tiene allí su sitio, por que en el "Due Caffé" forma parte de la selecta guía de establecimientos en donde se admiten perros educados que quieran compartir el primer abrazo del día.

La ciudad de Toulouse en el departamento de Mediodía-Pirineos, en el sur de Francia, se remonta a tiempos antiguos. Fue la capital del condado de Tolosa en la Edad Media y actualmente es la capital del departamento francés de Midi-Pirineos.

En sus calles podemos encontrar diversas corrientes artísticas y periodos históricos que marcaron la ciudad: la época medieval, el arte gótico, la edad de oro del Renacimiento, si dejar de lado sus raíces culturales y tradiciones populares. Todo esto hace que la ciudad tenga una riqueza cultural y artística muy grande.

1. El museo de los Agustinos

Instalado en el incomparable marco del convento de los Agustinos, construido en los siglos XIV y XV, el museo de Bellas Artes conserva un valioso conjunto de esculturas medievales (capiteles románicos y estatuas góticas). En las colecciones de pintura hay obras maestras de los siglos XV al XIX.

2 2. La plaza de San Jorge

Esta plaza fue la más amplia de la ciudad. En ella se celebraban las asambleas populares y los mercados; y más tarde las ejecuciones capitales. Está flanqueada por bellas casas de arquitectura variopinta. En uno de sus lados, vemos el palacete Lafage con su característica fachada monumental del siglo XVIII. Hoy es un lugar muy concurrido por sus animadas terrazas.

. 3. La iglesia de San Jerónimo

Detrás de una fachada discreta, esta iglesia de los siglos XVII y XVIII, llena de curvas, es notoria por su aspecto teatral. Es la antigua capilla de los Penitentes Azules, cofradía laica que nació como una reacción al protestantismo.

4. La plaza de Salengro

Esta placita triangular data del siglo XIX; la fuente que le sirve de decorado lleva elementos alegóricos de hierro fundido. Entre las hermosas fachadas de ladrillo observe en el número 20 una placa que recuerda que fue la casa en la que Jean Jaurès vivió algún tiempo.

5 5. La calle Saint-Rome

La calle Saint-Rome coincide con el eje norte-sur de la ciudad romana (cardo). Fue hasta el siglo XIX la calle principal de la ciudad en el corazón del barrio comercial. Podemos admirar bellas mansiones de ladrillo como el palacete Serta cuya torre domina el cruce de calles. Algunas casas de entramado de madera recuerdan la arquitectura preponderante hasta el gran incendio de 1463. Hoy, esta calle peatonal continúa la actividad comercial gracias a sus numerosas tiendas.

6 6. El museo del viejo Toulouse

El museo del Viejo Toulouse está ubicado en un palacete del fin del Renacimiento. Su colección se compone de documentos, pinturas y objetos de tradición popular y evoca el pasado artístico e histórico de la ciudad.

7 7. El museo del Compagnonnage

Esta casa con fachada de entramado de madera del siglo XVI fue restaurada por la asociación gremial Les compagnons du tour de France. Alberga un museo que permite descubrir el universo de los gremios a través de obras maestras y objetos de ayer y de hoy.

8 8. El ostal Doccitània

Hugues de Boysson y Jean de Cheverry, mercaderes y capitouls (representantes de la ciudad), mandaron construir esta mansión medio gótica, medio renacentista. Hoy es la sede del Ostal d’Occitània, lugar de intercambios de la actual cultura occitana.

9 9. El palacete de Assezát y la fundación Bemberg

Este palacete, obra maestra del Renacimiento tolosano, fue edificado entre 1555 y 1557 para el mercader Pierre d’Assézat, que prosperó con el comercio del glasto (hierba pastel). Se extiende alrededor de un gran patio con fachadas, galería y balcones. Hoy es la sede de la fundación Bemberg (rico coleccionista de mobiliario, pinturas y otros objetos) y de sociedades científicas entre las que se encuentra la de los juegos florales.

1 10. La basílica de Saint Sernin de Toulouse

También conocida como basílica de San Saturnino de Tolosa. Es uno de los edificios más emblemáticos de Toulouse, la iglesia románica más grande de Occitania y la segunda más antigua de toda Francia, después de la abadía de Cluny.
